Educational Resources

Does your school, daycare centre, respite facility or home need resources to assist in understanding epilepsy?

Epilepsy Queensland has a range of children’s books and school resources available to help children and adults understand epilepsy.

Epilepsy Smart Schools

The Epilepsy Smart Schools Program is an initiative that has been designed to support schools to fulfil their duty of care to provide safe learning environments for all students, inclusive of those with epilepsy. The program provides training in understanding epilepsy and epilepsy management and also training for educators to better understand the potential impacts of epilepsy to a student’s learning.

There is also a suite of specially-developed educational resources available on the website for parents, teachers and students to learn about epilepsy. These useful documents, such as planning and checklist tools, can be utilised by teachers and parents to support students living with epilepsy.

You can find out more about the three steps to becoming an Epilepsy Smart School here.
