Epilepsy is incredibly common but, sadly, so is stigma and discrimination. That’s why our advocacy work is so important - countering misinformation with education, knocking down barriers in systems, supporting people to know and exercise their rights, and challenging unlawful exclusion and inequality.

The Challenge

The Australian Epilepsy Longitudinal Survey (AELS) captures the needs and experiences of people with epilepsy, their families and carers, as well as the social and financial impacts of their condition.

The more we learn about what it means to live with epilepsy today, the better equipped we are to tailor our services, filling gaps in information and support, and effectively lobby government on the issues that matter.

Individual Assistance

While our reports, campaigns and submissions are designed to change the overarching systems, policies and practices that affect people impacted by epilepsy, we also provide assistance at an individual level.
